Hooch case accused Cong ex-MLA Malladi Vishnu gets bail
Vijayawada City Congress president and former MLA Malladi Vishnu, who was arrested in connection with the spurious liquor case in Vijayawada, has been granted bail on Friday.
The Metropolitan Sessions Court granted bail to both the former MLA and his frother Malladi Srinivas. They were asked to furnish a bond for Rs 50000. He and his brothers were also asked to report to the police station once in three days. He was also directed to cooperate with the SIT, which is investigating the case.
Vishnu was arrested on January 7, a month after spurious liquor at Swarna Bar claimed five lives and caused 20 others to seriously fall ill. Vishnu is accused number 9 in the case. His brother Malladi Srinivas alias Bullaiah, one of the owners of the restaurant, has also been arrested on the same day.
