Centre orders Judicial probe into Rohith's death - Sakshi Post

In a major development aimed at assuaging the feelings of Dalits, the Central Government has decided to order a probe into the death of University of Hyderabad research scholar Rohith Vemula.

The Union Ministry for Human Resource Development has ordered a judicial inquiry after the two-member committee of the HRD has submitted its report to the minister. The judicial commission, to be constituted by the HRD ministry, would review the entire sequence of events and circumstances and would establish the facts and correctives in the context of the university.
Union HRD minister Smriti Irani also spoke to Rohith's mother Radhika.
In another significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked people not to politicise the death of Rohith Vemula. Speaking at a programme organised at the Ambedkar University in Lucknow, he said one must understand the pain of a mother, who lost her son.
This move comes after the UoH executive council has lifted the suspension of four agitating students on Thursday. These moves are aimed at quelling the unrest in the UoH.
