HM to review exodus of NE people from twin cities

The Home Minister, Sabita Indra Reddy is scheduled to take stock of the situation arising out of the exodus of people from the North-eastern states this afternoon.

While the government has been maintaining that there is no cause for alarm and that people have been going home of their own accord to be with their families, trains heading towards the north-east have been packed beyond capacity.
Senior police officials are likely to take part in the review meeting.
