Hey Pillagada First Day Collections

The last time Dulquer Salman entertained the Telugu audience was in Maniratnma's Oka Bangaram which failed to evoke good response from the audience. Now, his latest outing Hey Pillagada has opened to a mixed response at the box office. The film stars Sai Pallavi as female lead.

The remake of Malayalam film Kali, the film was dubbed into Telugu as Hey Pillagada, the title borrowed from of hit song from Sai Pallavi's previous hit Fidaa. The Telugu film hit theatres on November 24 and has received a positive response from the critics and public alike.

The film has managed to collect approximately Rs 2 Cr on the first day at the box office. The movie competed with Nara Rohit's Balakrishnudu, Napoleon and few other Telugu movies.

Sai Pallavi's performance in Fidaa was award-worthy and her Telangana slang became the highlight in the film. But reports coming in suggest that Sai Pallavi's performance in Hey Pillagada isn't as good as her previous outing.
