Hema to contest from Mandapeta for assembly
Film actress Hema who joined Jai Samaikyandhra Party on Thursday is contesting from Mandapeta assembly constituency in East Godavari district.
Born at Rajolu in the district, her original name was Krishnaveni. She changed her name after she entering films. She has acted in about 250 films, and some serials.
She said that she would file her nomination papers from the constituency on April 19.
“I am not contesting in the elections fro the sake of power. I am contesting with the real intention of serving the people,” clarified Hema.
