Hyderabad: The Meteorological Department forecast heavy rains for both the Telugu states on Wednesday. On Monday several places in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh received showers which were caused by a deep depression and low pressure in Bay of Bengal.
The officials said that a deep depression over south Bangladesh and neighboring areas had moved north-northeastwards and is likely to move further in the same direction and weaken into a depression during the next 12 hours. This will cause heavy rains in several parts of AP and Telangana as well.
Hyderabad Director-in-Charge YK Reddy said the southwest monsoon had further advanced into the remaining parts of central Arabian Sea, the Konkan area, north interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, and some other parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh.
