Heavy Rains Forecast for Telangana, AP In 72 Hours
Hyderabad: The India Meteorology Department (IMD) has alerted people and the state governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on heavy rains in next three to four days. Hyderabad MET Department Director YK Reddy said that heavy rains likely in Hyderabad, Warangal and isolated areas in all districts in Telangana. Meanwhile, City Police Commissioner has also given a traffic alert in the twincities ahead of the heavy rains forecast. The Commissioner has advised people and GHMC officials to be cautious in next three days.

We will keep issuing alerts about traffic position at various places after 5pm over Facebook, What’sApp, Mobile App, FM, TV channels, etc. Pl plan your journey accordingly.
All road commuters may please follow the traffic alerts/notifications issued from time to time carefully.

MET also gave an alert on Guntur, Krishna, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, East Godavari districts.
The upper air cyclonic circulation over westcentral and northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of south Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh persists and result in heavy rains, according to the MET Department.
The upper air cyclonic circulation is now spreading upto mid- tropospheric levels tilting southwards with height persists, said MET Department, which in a statement said that 218 areas in Telangana received average rain fall of 6cm on Monday.
