Head-on collision in Kadapa claims 9 lives

Nine  people were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision between a lorry and car near Kukkaladoddi of Railwaykoduru mandal of YSR Kadapa district on Tuesday.

While eight persons died on the spot, another succumbed to injuries at the hospital while undergoing treatment. The deceased include three women and two children, police said.

The condition of one of the injured is said to be critical. The accident occurred when a cement laden lorry collided head-on with an Innova car coming from the opposite direction.

The Innova car was going to Tirumala from Hyderabad when the mishap took place. The deceased were residents of Peddasenkarampeta of Medak district and belonged to the same family.
