'Governors' appointments are political ones'

Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs M.Venkaiah Naidu said that the matter of appointment of governors is a politically related one.

Speaking to reporters at the party office in Hyderabad, he said that governors were generally changed when the ruling party at the centre is changed.

“Some drastic steps are compulsory to put the political system set right,” said the minister.

He said that people can understand any decision taken up by Narendra Modi government.

“Two decisions, railway fare hike and using Hindi in social media, are taken by the previous UPA government,” reminded Naidu.

He said that it was very pathetic that their government, which came to power only a few weeks ago, is being blamed for price rise.
