Goshamahal BJP MLA booked for 'hate' speech
Hyderabad: Goshamahal BJP MLA, T Raja Singh was booked for allegedly giving a hate speech against a particular community, police said on Thursday. A representative of a local NGO had lodged a complaint at Golconda Police Station alleging that T Raja Sing gave a hate speech against a community, which was subsequently uploaded on social media, Inspector Khaleel Pasha said.
Following the complaint, a case under section 295 A (hurting religious sentiments) of IPC was registered and police is investigating into the allegations, Pasha added.
Raja Singh courted controversy recently by openly criticizing Kishan Reddy and also being very vocal critique of the beef festival that was to take place in Osmania University in December, 2015. He had announced a ‘Gau seva Diwas’ or cow protection day to counter the beef festival.
