Google to train AP students on cloud computing


The State government has entered into an MoU with search engine giant Google.

IT Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Google’s Vice-President of Engineering for Google EMEA Nelson Mattos on Tuesday signed the memorandum of understanding.  As per the MoU, Google will offer training for engineering students on cloud computing and mobile technology free of cost. The government had agreed to provide 20-acre site for the proposed training center.

Lakshmaiah said about 5,000 software professionals would provide training for 30,000 engineering students from 20 engineering colleges in the first phase. Nelson Mattos told reporters that the Google’s initiative was first of its kind in the State.
