GoM will justify Seemandhra, prior to Telangana bill: Shinde

The Group of Ministers on separate statehood to Telangana, headed by Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, met on Saturday and discussed major issues like Power and Water Resources in the wake of division.

Speaking to press persons, after the meeting, Shinde said that the GoM was in receipt of 2000 emails mostly in favour of the State bifurcation.

“We will divide emails into 11 categories to address all the issues which would be monitored by Principal Secretaries. A detailed report will be submitted by the end of November," he said.

According to him, the grievances of the Seemandhra people would be addressed on top priority."The Telanagana bill will be introduced in the state assembly only after justifying the people of Seemandhra," he said.

GoM would meet again on November 7, by the time the final drafting of the bill will be done, he added.
