Girls Outperform Boys In Telangana Inter First, Second Year Results

Hyderabad: Girls outperformed boys in the first and second year intermediate examinations, results of which were released on Sunday by Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari. Releasing the digital version of results here deputy chief minister said that Medchal district ranked top in the results.

K Nikitha, second year MPC student from Khammam stood first scoring 993 marks. Laxmi Bhavani, BiPC student from Manchiryal district topped with 991 marks. Interestingly, students of Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions fared well then the private school students.

In both the first and second year results Medchal district stood at the top, Ranga Reddy came at the second position

In the first year 63.38 percent girls passed while 50.18 percent boys passed. Coming to second year results, girls secured 71.63 percent while boys stood at 61 percent. Interestingly, the overall pass percentage this year increased from previous year in the first year, it has increased from 53.55 percent in 2016 to 57.37 percent. Similarly, the second year pass percentage for this year was 67 percent while last year it was 62.95 percent.

In both the first and second year results Medchal district stood at the top, Ranga Reddy came at the second position. Mahbubabad district figured in the last position in the first and second year results, and Nirmal and Gadwal shared the last position in the second year results.
