Girl ends life over lecturer’s sexual harassment

A girl allegedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide following the sexual harassment by the lecturer.

The incident occurred at Gollamanda in A Konduru mandalof Krishna district on Wednesday. The lecturer reportedly sent vulgar SMSs to her mobile. Unable to bear the insult, Mounika took the extreme step. Mounika’s suicide sent shock waves in the village as scores of people reached the college in Vissannapeta and confined him in a room after beating him black and blue. The police registered a case and are investigating.
