Gandhigiri lessons for wife-killer

He killed his wife by smashing her head with a pestle and is utterly remorseless about it. All efforts to bring him to justice failed and even the police were allegedly bought over.

To teach a lesson to the alleged wife-killer, identified as Miryala Srisailam (28), the villagers and women's organisations constructed a samadhi for his dead wife Parvathamma (24) right in front of his home. Not content with that
the locals have even constructed a memorial for her and inaugurated it amid fanfare. Whether this act of Gandhigiri brings change in the heart of the wife-beater remains to be seen. The civil society organizers hope this will be an eye-opener to all wife beaters
