Former MP Ananda Gajapatiraju passes away

Vijayanagaram: Former Education Minister and former Member of Parliament Pusapati Ananda Gajapati Raju died at a hospital in Visakhapatnam on Saturday.

Ananda Gajapati Raju is brother of Union Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapati Raju and served as minister twice in the undivided Andhra Pradesh. Ananda Gajapati Raju was the chairman of MANSAS Trust, which had donated lands for several educational institutions, including Korukonda Sainik School.

Gajapatiraju is also the trustee for several temples in northern Andhra like the Arasavalli, Srikurmam, Simhachalam and Ramatheertham.
