For a cigarette puff… man stabs in a huff….

A seedy sitting room of a wine shop…. Two inebriated friends…. One has a cigarette and the other wants to have a puff….this was enough for both of them to get into a free for all. In a fit of rage a ‘friend’ snatched a butcher’s knifeand stab his ‘friend.’

Barely a couple of days after the friendly fight took the life of a teen in the Old City, two youths – both friends – went to a wine shop in Gowlipura area of Old City for a drinking bout. The youths – one identified as Naved and the other as Sharif of Sultan Shahi – got highly inebriated. Sharif asked Naved for a puff, which the latter declined. This was enough for Sharif to fly into a rage and run across the street to snatch a butcher’s knife and attack Naved.

Naved suffered gashes in underarm and neck. Sharif fled from the scene. A bleeding Naved was rushed to Osmania Hospital, where he is being treated for the bleeding cuts. The police seized the wine shop and are on the lookout for Sharif.
