Five grievously injured in a car accident in AP
Gudlavalleru (Krishna): Five people who were seated on a roadside bench were grievously injured when an oncoming car rammed into them. The accident occurred close to Vemuru in Gudlavalleru mandal of Krishna district on Tuesday.
It is learnt that few people from Bobbili in Vijayanagaram district were coming to Uppalakavagunta village in Pedana mandal to eke out a living as daily wage labourers.
On Tuesday, they had come to Vemuru to offer prayers at the Kondalamma temple. After the puja, they sat down on the roadside bench to eat the ‘prasadam’ when all of a sudden a car belonging to a reserve police constable rammed into them.
Two men and three women were grievously injured in the accident and were shifted to the government hospital in Machilipatnam. Meanwhile police have registered a case and investigating the matter.
