First Wife Tortures Second Wife, Parades her Naked

Warangal: A woman tortured her husband's second wife and paraded her naked in the village on Sunday.

The woman, Swaroopa married Ravi of DC Tanda in Vardhannapet as per the wishes of the family elders. However, about eight months ago he secretly married Anita of the same Tanda.
Swaroopa brought the matter to the notice of her parents and also the village elders. Despite their conselling Ravi did not mend his ways. On Sunday, Swaroopa along with some of her relatives attacked Anita with sticks and iron rods. She also burnt Anita's skin at unmentionable places with hot iron rods. Later, Anita was paraded naked in the village.
On receipt of the incident police rushed to the village and rescued Anita before shifting her to a hospital.
