Fire in Ginning mill in AP village
Huge amount of cotton was reduced to ashes when a ginning mill in Karimnagar district on Wednesday caught fire, police said.
No one was hurt in the mishap. The fire erupted at around 8.30 AM in the Vigneshwari mill at Appannapet village here causing damage to a huge chunk of cotton preserved in the premises, Peddapalli Deputy Superintendent of Police G Laxminarayana said.
Most of the cotton kept there belonged to Cotton Corporation of India. Six fire engines were rushed to the spot to control the blaze. The cause of the fire was being investigated, the DySP added.
