Rangasthalam Closing Collections In Kannada
Tollywood Megapowerstar Ram Charan Career's biggest blockbuster and Non-Baahubali hit Rangasthalam was dubbed into Kannada and Malayalam. The movie team released the Kannada version on 12th July and a few days later the Malayalam one.
Rangasthalam garnered huge profits at the Tollywood box office but the Kannada and Malayalam versions failed at the box office. The distributors got the Kannada version rights for 1.6 crores and released it in more than 100 theatres in Karnataka. The movie got good reviews and ratings from the critics in Kannada and Malayalam but the movie collected only 60 lakhs and left the distributors in shock.
The main reason behind the poor collections was the lack of promotions and late release. Another reason is that the movie lovers across the globe are watching the movies online with English subtitles before the dubbing version released in their respective languages. Distributors are thinking that, if the movie was released within the gap of 2 or 3 months after it was released in Tollywood, it would have fetched decent collections at the box office in other languages too.
Apart from the movie collections, songs got a huge response from the sandalwood audiences.
Rangasthalam is a movie featuring Ram Charan, Aadhi Pinisetty and Samantha Akkineni, directed by Sukumar under Mythri movie makers released in Telugu in on 30th March 2018.
Currently, Ram Charan is busy with RRR shooting under the ace director in film industry, SS Rajamouli."
