Telugu Actor Vijay Devarakonda recently launched his clothing brand Rowdy, operating from Bengaluru. However, with the actor's team identifying counterfeiting of all the variants of T-shirts bearing the Rowdy trademarks being sold on Amazon, they filed a petition.
Owned by Vijay Devarakonda, Rowdywear Pvt. Ltd approached the City Civil Court at Bangalore regarding the sale of counterfeit ‘Rowdy’ merchandise on Amazon and filed a suit earlier this month.

In the petition, it was mentioned that the actor’s right to publicity and privacy were violated due to the fact that the packaging material of these counterfeit T-shirts being sold with his pictures unlawfully.
Following this, the Bengaluru Civil Court on Friday passed an interim order asking Amazon to immediately stop the sale of such products on their portal and restrain from passing off Rowdy merchandise as their own.
The full hearing regarding the case will be held on March 29.
