Geetha Govindam in Trouble For Hurting Hindu Sentiments
Trust Vijay Deverakonda to be in the news for one reason or the other. First it was his filmfare awards, next it was his decision to auction his award and raise money for Telangana CM relief fund then he has been grabbing headlines for his shirtless act in Bigg Boss and of course his regular trivia on his upcoming film Geetha Govindam.
The latest however, is nothing to cheer about. The actor has crooned for a song in his upcoming film Geetha Govindam. It's an known fact that Vijay always draws attention with his tweets and sense of homour on social media. However, his latest song in Geetha Govindam has drawn flak. We hear that Hindu outfits have raised an objection to the song crooned by Deverakonda saying the derogatory lyrics hurts Hindu sentiments. The reference to Lord Rama has upset them. When they threatened legal action, the makers of Geetha Govindam quickly removed the song from Youtube to avoid further damage. They are expected to rework on the lyrics of the song.
