Puri Jagannadh's Mehbooba is all set to hit theatres across the world tomorrow. The premiere shows were held today and the response and first reports have been phenomenal.

The film marks the comeback of Puri's son Akash after he was seen in Andhra Pori. Neha Shetty of Kannada hit Mungaru Male fame has been roped in to play the female lead. The public talk has been encouraging and most of the audience feel that Puri jagganadh is back with Mehbooba. The film has been shot in the scenic locales of India.

Plot: Set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, Mehbooba is a romantic drama starring Akash Puri and Neha Shetty. Ravi (Akash is a soldier of the Indian Army working at the border during turbulent times. What happens when he falls in love with a girl from the other side of the border? Watch the film to find out...

Mehbooba Telugu Movie Review

The most striking thing about this movie is its rich production values. Shot in real locations, the hard work of the makers is reflected in the big screen. It's refreshing to see a young face in Akash Puri. He's done his homework, learnt the ropes very well for a newcomer. He delivers and can be a name to reckon with in the future. Neha Shetty is impressive. It’s halfway though the movie that you realise the film is a plot on reincarnation although you half expect it if you connect the hints thrown in by the filmmaker till then. The Muslim Vs Pakistani sentiment works well on the audience. The first half is a breeze. I But the second half lacks a tight screenplay. Narrative gets slow post interval. Climax could have been different as it seems predictable.
