Pune School’s Directive On Colour Of Girl Students’ Inner Wear

Pune: A Pune school issued a bizarre directive to girl students specifying what colour of innerwear to sport. The school advises girl students to wear either white or skin colour innerwear. Parents and students of Maeer's MIT School here were reportedly taken aback by the diktat. The school is also reported to have spelt out the length of the skirts worn by girl students. Parents have been asked to sign the school diary which mentions these directions.

Parents approached the school authorities protesting against this order and other restrictions on students such as specific timings for the use of washroom. The latest, however, is that the school withdrew the order after the widespread outrage it evoked, especially since it went viral and was picked up by most media outlets and featured prominently.
