ED Court points out flaws in attachment process in Jagan's case - Sakshi Post

The Adjudicating Authority on Tuesday questioned the manner in which ED officials proceeded to attach Kadapa MP and YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's assets.

It asked the ED how it could attach properties that had no connection with quid pro quo case and how it could also attach properties worth more than the value of the properties involved.

The counsel for the ED argued that the attachment was done based on the CBI charge-sheet and Income Tax reports. The attachment was not final and was primary only.

Intervening, Authority asked the counsel - what is the difference between primary and final attachments?

Who had given permission to attach the assets that are unrelated to the case? In some  places only buildings have been attached leaving away the land, how could this attachment  be possible, the Adjudicating Authority  questioned the enforcement agency.
