DWCRA loan waiver: YSRCP stages walkout

The YSRCP MLAs staged a walkout from the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Tuesday

in protest against the Speaker refusing a discussion on DWCRA loan waiver. The YSRCP had given an adjournment motion on the issue and pressed for a discussion, but Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad refused permission.

Even as YSRCP chief YS Jagan was speaking, the speaker had cut his mike. Protesting against this, the YSRCP MLAs trooped into the well of the house and began arguing with the speaker. The speaker adjourned the house for 10 minutes.

Even after the house reassembled, the stand-off continued. When the Speaker did not allow them, the YSRCP MLAs staged a walkout.
