Does Pawan Kalyan Have An Answer To These Questions?

Pawan Kalyan - Sakshi Post

Pawan Kalyan is an enigma wrapped in a riddle. It is hard to say whether it is insecurity or ambiguity which drives his politics. The torch-bearer of the Samaikyandhra movement who was outspoken in his criticism against the bifurcation of the state now claims that Jai Telangana occupies the same place as Vande Mataram does! How does one explain this paradox?

Interestingly enough, it is only very recently that the actor-turned-politician began to see the virtuous side of the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Pawan heaped praises on KCR for 24/7 power supply to farmers in Telangana. He followed this up with his now viral 'I Love KCR' statement which has been panned by the Congress and BJP alike. How come Pawan Kalyan held himself back from criticising the KCR government from inviting poets and literatteurs from the Andhra region to the World Telugu Conference held recently in Hyderabad? Even more importantly, where was he during the Telangana agitation? Did he ever raise his voice for Telangana when KCR, TJAC, OU students and people across the board were screaming ‘Jai Telangana’ at the the height of the movement for a separate state?

Pawan finds nothing wrong with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's governance and it appears he has steered clear of any categorical criticism of Naidu. What does Pawan have to say about the horse trading Chandrababu indulged in so brazenly buying over 22 YSRCP MLAs, making four of them ministers in his Cabinet? What about Notes For Votes? What does he have to say about the Pushkarams tragedy which has been brushed under the carpet? And a penny for his thoughts on the more than three-fold increase in the cost of the Polavaram project! Does Pawan have an answer to the TDP Government's false claim over Amaravati construction.

Doesn't the Jana Sena founder know about the sand mining mafia syndicates which have sprouted all over Andhra Pradesh?

What about farm loan waivers to DWCRA SHGs? Does he have an opinion on the limitations of the Arogyasri scheme post-bifurcation? What has he have to say about the shutting down of cooperative dairy federations in some parts of the state and the near-closure of the state's flagship Vijaya dairy to promote Heritage, as pointed out by AP Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy? Liquor flows more freely than water across Andhra Pradesh which is impacting the lives of families and destroying relationships everywhere. Does Pawan have a solution to offer to this cancerous social problem?

In the final analysis, Is Pawan Kalyan a politician in transition caught between two stools, with no ideological bearings of his own and devoid of any political moorings? That is the mother of all questions.
