Hyderabad: On Thursday a cheating case has been filed on Shailaja Kiran, the elder daughter-in-law of media baron Ramoji Rao, in Nampally Criminal Courts. Shailaja Kiran is the managing director of Margadarshi Chit Fund and the charges cited are of forging the signature of a guarantor to illegally attach a property.

According to the Nampally police, a woman Sangeetha has filed the petition in the Nampally criminal courts, stating that the Margadarshi Chit Fund authorities had made her accountable for the default of a chit payment by a person for whom she was a guarantor. Sangeetha claims that the authorities without sending her any prior notice have forged her signature on the documents and illegally attached her property, for being the guarantor.

The Nampally Criminal Court based on her petition directed the Nampally police to file a case against the managing director of the Margadarshi Chit Fund, Shailaja and others. The police booked them under Sections 420, 468 and 471 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

This is not the first time that either Shailaja Kiran or the Margadarsi Chit fund are being booked under the Cheating case, in 2012 Hashitha of Hyderabad has filed a case citing that they are demanding more money to give her back her documents.
