DMK Chief Karunanidhi Hospitalized Again
Chennai: Former Tamil Nadu chief minister and DMK president M. Karunanidhi has been admitted at Kauvery Hospital on Wednesday. The 93-year-old was admitted for a minor procedure, for a change of (Percutaneous endoscopic gastronomy) PEG tube. The DMK patriarch is likely to be discharged on the same day.
Kauvery Hospital Executive Director S. Aravindan issued a statement, which reads, “He has been admitted for a minor procedure—change of (Percutaneous endoscopic gastronomy) PEG tube. He will be discharged from the hospital later today.”

From last year October Karunanidhi had been ailing and was undergoing treatment at his Gopalapuram residence. Due to this, he didn’t attend several public meetings and also skipped to cast his vote in the July 17 Presidential election.
