Director Teja Walks Out Of NTR Biopic Film

Hyderabad: In a surprise move, director Teja today announced that he is no more directing the NTR Biopic film. The reasons for this drastic move is not yet clear, though many claim that the differences between the director and lead actor cum producer Balakrishna could be the reason.

The biographical feature film on Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the former chief minister as well as the popular matinee idol of Telugu screen, was announced by TDP MLA and actor as well as son of NTR, Balakrishna. The film shooting began on a large scale recently. Even as everything seemed to be sailing smoothly, this latest announcement has definitely put a brake on the project.

It is learnt that the director and lead actor had difference of opinion in regards to presentation of the life of legendary actor on the screen. Balakrishna did not agree on the script prepared by Teja and this prompted the director to bid goodbye to the project. Until a new director is brought on board, the project would be stalled.

According to the people associated with the project, Balakrishna himself might direct the film. While Tollywood is mentioning that the names Raghavendra Rao and Krish have cropped up for taking over the project. Raghavendra Rao is veteran director of over 100 films and has worked with NTR as well as Balakrishna. He could be an ideal choice. On the other hand Krish is busy with a Hindi film right now and earlier has worked with Balakrishna on Gautamiputra Satakarni. Official announcement from the side of producers is yet to be made on the film status.
