Decision on 'T' by Jan 28, says Shinde

Union Home Minister Sushil  Kumar Shinde on Thursday made it clear that he would announce a decision on Telangana before Jan 28.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, he said the issue of  making Hyderabad a joint capital of Telangana and Andhra was not discussed.

Replying to questions, the home minister said " We have not discussed anything on this so far. We have some advice from  the Justice BN  Srikrishna Committee’s report on what decision has to be taken in regard to Hyderabad."

When reporters asked about the Centre's decision on the contentious issue, Shinde replied " I have said one month time after the all-party meeting on December 28. I will announce the decision on January 28."

He also said that he did not mentioned at the all-party meeting that whether the Central government would give Telangana or not.

Putting end to the speculations, at one point Shinde said that there were no discussions held on taking the decision in favour of Telangana. "I am getting letters from many people on Telangana. I have listed all the opinions. I let you know on January 28."
