Dasari wants gunmen

Former Union Minister and veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao has approached Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa seeking gunmen for his protection. 

Confirming the news, the home minister said that he forwarded the application to the security review committee. 

Stating that he has no role in deciding the issue of security coverage, the home minister said that Intelligence agencies will take a call based on threat perception to an individual.
He also said that at least five MLAs have met him in recent times and sought gunmen for their protection.
