Coal scam: Dasari faces arrest as CBI raid his house

A new twist to coal scam. In the latest chargesheet filed by the CBI, the name of former union minister of state for coal and mines Dasari Narayana Rao has been included.

In a shock to the film fraternity, the famous Tollywood director has been named in the 12th chargsheet filed by the CBI.

It is learnt that Dasari's house in Hyderabad was one among 15 places raided by the CBI in this connection. The raid is still on and sources say the officials have seized key documents from his house. Latest reports also say that there's a CBI raid at his office too.

House No. 46 on Jubilee Hills is buzzing with activities as eight teams comprising 24 members from the CBI are conducting raid on Dasari's house. It is learnt that Dasari's daughter's house too is being searched. The CBI sleuths reportedly grilled Dasari for eight hours. The raid will continue till evening, say sources.

It may be recalled that CBI had recorded statements of the then ministers of state in coal ministry.
