Daggubati Purandeswari joins BJP officially

Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Daggubati Purandeswari joined BJP officially. With this, all the grapevines in the matter were put to rest.

She joined the BJP in the presence of senior leader of party L.K.Advani in New Delhi.

The senior leaders of BJP welcomed her into the party.

Party leaders like Venkaiah Naidu, Rajnath Singh and others participated in the function.

It is known that the daughter of late N.T.Rama Rao has resigned from Congress party and his ministerial berth protesting against the bifurcation of the state.

She won from Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency two times. Her husband Venkatewswara Rao is now representing Parchur assembly constituency in Prakasam district. Both of them have resigned for Congress party.

While Venkateswara Rao retired from politics, his wife will contest from Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency as the BJP candidate in the next elections.
