Dadi formally joins YSR Congress
TDP senior leader and former minister Dadi Veerabhadra Rao on Saturday joined YSR Congress party.
Dadi and his son Ratnakar called on YSRCP honorary president YS Vijayamma at her residence and formally joined the party.
Earlier in the morning, they met Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at Chanchalguda jail and got his nod for joining the party.
Dadi, who quit TDP after being a part of it for over three decades, said he would henceforth stand by the late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's family. "The Jagan I heard about was different from the one I met in jail today. As a member of the TDP, I made allegations against Jagan as per the party policy and had no scope to see the other side. Now, I realised the truth and hence decided to walk with the late YSR's family," Dadi told reporters, coming out of the jail.
Dadi, one of the senior leaders of TDP, has been an MLA for four terms and a minister twice.
