Chandrababu keeps away from NTR statue unveiling?
As the date for the former Chief Minister and TDP founder NT Rama Rao's bronze statue unveiling is just three days left, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is in dilemma over visiting the function.
According to TDP leaders, Chandrbabu Naidu has not yet received invitation from Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar for the unveiling of NTR's statue on the premises of the Parliament on May 7.
The TDP leaders are in dismay as except Naidu all the NTR's family members received invitations. Sources said that Naidu decided not to attend the program and asked his party MPs to attend it on his behalf.
Why is Naidu keeping himself away from the prestigious event?
It is a long-pending demand of the NTR supporters to install the statue of great leader NTR in the parliament Hall. After many efforts, the Speaker had agreed to it. There are unexpressed views among the party circles are that Naidu was away from the programme because the statue was contributed by Union Minister Daggubati Purandhreswari. Whatever maybe the reason, NTR statue unveiling is a memorable and pride event for lakhs of Telugu-speaking people across the globe.
