Kodaikanal Boarding School Boy Kills Classmate After A Fight

Chennai: A 16-year old boy was killed by his classmate after an argument ensued between the two at school in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu. The two boys studying in Class 10 at a boarding school at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Gandhi Vidyashram in Kodaikanal got into a fight on Monday evening.

The minor stabbed his classmate Kapil Ragavendr with a pair of scissors in his neck and then bludgeoned him to death with a cricket stump

Police said a leading web portal that an argument turned into a scuffle was the boy was enraged when Kapil reportedly spoke about his brother.

“They are both from the same class, but different sections. They got into an argument at the boarding school around 8: 30 pm at night. It started off as a small argument but got heated up. The victim boy seems to have died on the spot. He was taken to the government hospital and declared dead,” an investigating officer was quoted saying by the leading portal.

The accused have been sent to a juvenile home. A case has been regiastered under Section 302 (Punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
