Mother, Son Found Dead At Home In Maharashtra
Mumbai: A mother and son duo was found dead at their residence in Virar in Maharashtra on Friday night. The deceased have been identified as 42-year-old Saraswati and her 25-year-old son Vinay Chogale. They lived in Sail Heritage building
On Friday night neighbours noticed a foul smell emanating from their house. On repeated knocks, when no one responded, neighbours broke opened the door and saw the two lying on the floor with foam coming out of their mouths. They were rushed to hospital in Virar where they were declared brought dead.
Assistant police inspector Ranjithsing Pardeshi, Virar police station told a leading daily that Vinay's uncle called the police after the two were taken to the hospital.
No signs of forced entry were found in the room nor any suicide note was recovered.
The post-mortem and forensic examination reports are awaited after which the real cause of the death could be known.
The bodies were cremated on Saturday and police will start the inquiry after the last rites are completed and the family comes out of the shock.
According to police, his mother was a homemaker and Vinay worked in a private firm. His father passed away five years ago and his elder brother lives in Virar.
Police have registered accidental death reports and further probe is underway.
