Mahesh Maharshi Inspires Weekend Agriculture As Farming Catches On With Genext

Mahesh Babu's Maharshi has taken over completely with the weekend farming concept featured in movie becoming a trend and inspiring the Gen Next to take up the Agriculture Challenge.

Off late, the actor is working towards delivering message oriented films with a thought-provoking motive. His earlier movies, Srimanthudu and Bharat Ane Nenu also brought about an impact as the movie inspired many to indulge in social service.

Mahesh Babu's latest offering Maharshi also does the same and within a few days of its release, the movie has already started yielding results.

One of the most burning issues, our country has been facing is the farmers' suicides. Maharshi highlights the farmers' problems and the dialogue from the movie, 'Farmers don't need sympathy...They need our respect' has won over the audience.

Taking inspiration from the movie, many have even taken up initiatives to help farmers in the different activities of agriculture. The hashtag #AgricultureChallenge is currently trending on the social media with many users showing their support for the weekend farming concept.














Noticing the impact Maharshi is making among the public, Mahesh Babu expressed his happiness over the message touching so many lives and inspiring them to willingly participate.


Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, Maharshi also stars Allari Naresh, Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu and Prakash Raj in prominent roles. 'Maharshi' is jointly produced by Dil Raju, C Ashwini Dutt and Prasad V Potluri. The music has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
