100kg Ganja Seized In Guntur

Guntur, Chillakallu (Jaggaiahpet): Huge quantities of Ganja have been seized by police in the Gauraram village of Guntur. Chillakallu police earlier got a tip-off that Ganja was being smuggled in a car (AP 37 AY 3333) to Hyderabad in large quantities. CI Jayakumar and his team started searching the vehicles at GMR toll plaza.
The car ferrying ganja turned up at the toll gate, but the miscreants, who got alerted that police were on the vigil drove the vehicle towards Gauraram village. However, police chased the car and found the abandoned car in the Eucalyptus plantations.
After checking the car police confirmed that almost a ton of ganja was being ferried to Hyderabad. Police have registered a case and the investigation is on.
