City Woman Lodges Complaint Against Mentally-Challenged Husband, In-Laws
A woman lodged a complaint against her husband and in-laws for harassing her. She sought the help of women's association and Sulthan Bazaar ACP Dr Chethana. The victim Kavya (18) and Aakula Srujan (30) were married last year when she was a minor. She alleged that her husband who was mentally challenged used to harass her. She also added that her in-laws sent her away from the house accusing her of theft. They were also trying to get him married again for extra dowry. The girl lives in her grandmother's house in Sulthan Bazaar. "Since I turned as a major today, I hereby demand the justice and approached police", Kavya said.
The accused should be punished for marrying a minor girl and that too harassing her from one year, we demand justice for the victim Kavya", said the women association leaders.
Recently, in a similar incident, A woman caught her husband red-handed when he was with his lover. The incident took place on Wednesday under the Meerpet police station limits. According to the police, Nagaraju was married to Amulya in 2007. The couple had eight-year-old daughter. Nagaraju works at TCS as a team leader. The couple had been living seperately from the last few days.
Meanwhile, Amulya learned that her husband was getting close to his colleague from the last six months. On Wednesday, she went to their house of Dwarakanagar, Hastinapuram along with her relatives. She caught Nagaraju with his lover red-handedly and attacked them with the help of her relatives. Later, she informed the police. Meerpet CI Yadaiah said that earlier, a case under section 490 was filed against Nagaraju and they counselled the couple and sent them back.
