One Killed, 11 Injured In Ghastly Accident Near Guntur

Guntur: A man killed and 11 members severely injured in an accident that took place at Kanchikacharla in the early hours of Thursday. According to the police, 12 people who belong to the 9 events organisation from Madhapur, Hyderabad set out to attend an event at Kakinada from Hyderabad around 2:30 am in a car. Most of them were pursuing their degrees and doing catering as a part-time job. While on their way to Kakinada, the car hit a bike and later hit a loader which flipped on the road.

During the accident Tatakanti Ganesh (25) died on the spot. He was married a woman two years ago. She was also with him during the accident and got injured. The other 10 members along with the driver sustained severe injuries. They were identified as Addarapu Nagaraju, Tadakanti Uma Maheswari, Addarapu Lakshmi, Jupudi Bhargavi, K Puja, Garre Mahesh, Garre Sandhya, Vankudoth Sangeetha, Koduri Madhusudhan Reddy, Kolimi Mahesh and Mohmmad Azeem. The locals informed 108 Ambulance and National highway Ambulance which shifted them to Nandigama area hospital. SI Dadi Chandrasekhar reached the accident spot and cleared the traffic. The police filed a case and started the investigation. It is believed that fog was the cause of the accident. The injured also claim that the driver dozed off while driving.
