Vijayawada Finance Company Owners Set Man Ablaze

Vijayawada: In a shocking incident, a man who was set ablaze was seen rushing out of a building in the Governorpet area of Vijayawada on Friday. According to sources, the man was targeted by the owners of a finance company. In a clip that was telecast on Sakshi TV, the man, identified as Devarapalli Gagarin, a finance businessman, is seen being dragged out of the building.

As per Vijayawada ACP Ramana Murthy, two persons threw petrol on Gagarin and set him on fire. "Over 80 per cent of his body suffered burns. His condition is critical," he said.

A live witness present at the time on the incident in Besant Road reportedly said the victim cried for help asking to take him to a hospital. The victim reportedly revealed the names of the attackers--Madala Suresh and Madala Sudhakar.

"Gagarin's health status can be reveiwed only after 48 hours of inspection," Dr Rama Rao from a local hospital said.
