Konijarla Girl, Harassed By Brother-in-law, Commits Suicide

Konijarla: Harassed by her brother-in-law, Anusha, pursuing her degree committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling fan. According to locals, Lingla Biksham hailing from Chinnagopati has two daughters of whom the elder one is married to Ashok of Singarayapalem of the same mandal. Ashok had been harassing the younger daughter, Anusha who is studying her degree course.

Ashok always harassed her by saying he will get her booked in a crime case if she is not going to accept his advances. He also sent a fake court notice in the name of Anusha saying a case has been filed against her  and if she did not attend the court hearing, she would be arrested.

Anusha could not take it anymore and committed suicide when all others at home had gone out. Ashok was already reprimanded by Anusha’s family and village heads. Victim’s parents have lodged a complaint against Ashok. A case has been filed against him and the investigation is on, said the police.
