Girlfriend’s Mother Said No To Marriage, He Killed Her

Amalapuram/East Godavari: A man brutally killed his girlfriend's mother for disapproving their relationship. The incident happened here on Monday midnight at Odarevu, Allavaram (Amalapuram).

The deceased was identified as Vishnu Kumari (45). She was attacked by Durgaprasad who belongs to the same village.

According to the police, Durgaprasad and Vishnu Kumari's daughter were seeing each other. They decided to get married and convinced their parents. Vishnukumari too had agreed to give three cents of land and three lakh cash as dowry.

Meanwhile, Vishnukumari changed her opinion and rejected the marriage proposal and cancelled her plans to get her daughter married to Durgaprasad. Both the families had a clash over the issue for a few days. Meanwhile, Durgaprasad went to Gulf for work. Every month, he would send money to Vishnukumari. It is learned that he would also request her to get her daughter married to him. Vishnukumari neither showed any interest in the matter or agreed to their marriage. A frustrated Durgaprasad went to Vishnukumari's house on Monday around midnight and brutally attacked her with a knife.

Prasad stabbed her to death. He also took Vishnukumari to the top of the building and threw her body on a rock. Kumari died on the spot after suffering grave injuries. Durgaprasad has now gone absconding. CI Devakumar and D Prasanth Kumar rushed to the spot and collected details from the locals.

The victim's son lives in Hyderabad and her daughter lives in a hostel. The police filed a case against the accused and started probing the matter. The body was shifted to Amalapuram area hospital for postmortem. The police are on the lookout to nab the criminal.
