Man Trying To Fish, Drowns Accidentally

Kotagiri (Banswada): Shaik Bashir(45) of Yadgarpur village of Kotagiri mandal in Nizamabad district, paid with his life trying to fish in a lake near his village. With lakes, ponds and canals brimming over following heavy rain in the state over the past three days, Bashir decided to go fishing with his friends.

Sheik Bashir used a stick trying to immobilise fish flowing into the canal. Accidentally, he fell into the water and youth who were there, noticed that he fell into the lake, informed his family members.

Officials rushed to the spot. Bashir's body was brought ashore by a youth whose effort was commended by all present. The body was shifted to the government hospital for post mortem.

A pall of gloom descended over the village following the tragic incident.
