Neet Aspirant Stabbed To Death Over Cricket Scuffle
In a freak incident, a teenager lost his life in a fight while playing cricket. The deceased was identified as Atul Kumar Singh (17), Mau city of Uttar Pradesh. Atul Kumar was preparing for medical entrance exam (NEET) to join a medical college. He was getting trained at a premier coaching institute in Kota city.
According to police, Atul Kumar had been preparing for NEET coaching for last three years."Atul Kumar was playing cricket with his friends in Onkarashwer park in Mahavir Nagar on Saturday evening. A 20-year-old school dropout reached the park around 6'o clock and he has been identified as Rahul Bhati. He took a knife from his pocket to finish the group of students playing cricket," the police said.
It is learnt that Rahul Bhati asked the group of students that he would bat a few balls. While playing, Bhati could not score a single run and disagreed to leave the crease. Meanwhile, Atul Kumar asked for the bat from Bhati. In a fit of anger Bhati took a knife from his pocket and stabbed into his heart and Atul collapsed on the ground. Immediately, he was rushed to hospital but doctors declared that he was brought dead.
The police arrested the accused and has been sent for police remand for three days. After postmortem, the body was handed over to deceased family this afternoon.
