Medchal Man Stabs Woman To Death For Gold, Arrested

Hyderabad: A man was arrested on Monday for killing a woman and stealing some valuable items from her in Medchal.

Purani Srikanth, a daily wage labourer robbed gold from a woman who was walking alone and stabbed her to death. Passersby who saw a woman lying in a pool of blood alerted the police, who sent the body for post-mortem after preliminary investigation.

After a probe, the police caught hold of the accused and recovered Rs 50,000 worth 1.5 tolas of gold and 20 tolas of silver. It is learnt that Srikanth turned a daily wage labourer after his father asked him to give up to studies and sent him for work. Later, he turned a thief for easy money making.
