Nuzvid Man Ends Life After Wife Hits Him With Slipper

Chatrai, Nuzvid: In a tragic incident here, Chunduru Kishore, a 22 year-old committed suicide following his wife's physical attack on him with a slipper in the presence of policemen. The victim had been married to Shyamala of Gudipadu village in the same mandal.

On Tuesday, Shyamala lodged a complaint with the police stating that her husband had been torturing her.

The cops called Kishore in for counselling during which he is stated to have assured them in writing, of staying clear of his wife. Police once again called the couple in for a counselling session the next day. Shyamala, while speaking to Kishore, hit him with a slipper in the presence of policemen.

Kishore, who felt depressed over the incident, hanged himself at home. In his suicide note, he said that he was ending his life as his wife had hit him with a slipper.

Kishore's family members staged a protest in front of the police station seeking punishment to those responsible for his death, according to reports.
